Trillium Employment Services is excited to add an Employment Consultant to the team to help increase employment for people with disabilities across our King County communities.

You are a people person and have experience in business development, social work, recruiting, coaching, or a similar field. You are interested in assisting Seattle and Eastside businesses in employing people with developmental disabilities. You are ready for a jump start on a new career path. Trillium Employment Services is a nonprofit organization with a dedicated team who has been serving people with disabilities and Washington State employers since 1983. We connect people with disabilities to employment opportunities and are committed to integrating people with intellectual disabilities in the workforce. We are proud to be one of the pioneer supported employment agencies in the United States. We were recognized as one of Seattle Business Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" in 2019.

About the Role

We are currently seeking Employment Consultants to contribute to the success and organic growth of our King County team as well as teams in Clark, Kitsap, Pierce, and Yakima Counties.

Job Duties

· Coach and teach individuals with developmental disabilities job skills

· Empower people with disabilities to reach their full potential

· Build relationships with the local businesses community

· Pitch our services and inclusive workplace concepts

· Interact effectively with clients, families, businesses, schools and funders

· Assist job seekers’ market their skills and abilities

· Manage a fluctuating daily schedule

· Write case notes and reports that reflect your client work

· Regularly participate with a collaborative and supportive team

Requirements

· Highly effective time-management skills

· The ability to work collaboratively in a learning environment

· A high level of self-accountability and self-motivation

· Creative problem-solver

· Emotional intelligence and empathy for under-served communities

· Willing to learn from mistakes and share your experience with others

· Current valid Washington State Driver's License

· Ability to provide proof of current vehicle liability insurance

· Ability to provide a favorable driving abstract from the Department of Motor Vehicles

· Private vehicle to use for business

· Pass a background check to serve vulnerable populations

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

· Ability to travel throughout King County

Preferred Skills and Experience

· Consultative sales

· Placement recruiting

· Technical, report writing, or case note writing experience

· Experience with maintaining a case load of clients

· Experience teaching skills or coaching to individuals with disabilities
