Part-Time, Temporary Human Resources Assistant

We are seeking a part-time, temporary assistant to support the Human Resources department for approximately 21 hours/week for 3 months. The HR Assistant will provide general administrative and project support for a busy HR team. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. 

Responsibilities of the job include: 

  • Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization
  • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill mission and objectives of the job
  • Assist with monthly employee data reporting
  • Support benefits open enrollment process
  • Assist with semi-monthly reconciliation of time and attendance
  • Update sick and safe time semi-monthly to assist with compliance reporting
  • Ensure job descriptions are current
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding scheduling
  • Assist with data collection and entry for new HCM integration
  • Assist with other HR-related special projects as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 2+ years administrative support experience required; some HR experience preferred
  • Familiarity with and/or interest in HR concepts and employment laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work and interact with employees at all levels 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks successfully
  • Highly professional and able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Ability to alternate between independent and team work with ease
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, a plus

Note: We are temporarily teleworking during the COVID-19 pandemic. When we return to in-office work, the assistant will work in our NYC office.
