The Human Resources (HR) Team works to find, grow and retain talent and build the NGS community. HR is dedicated to designing and building people and total reward strategies that enhance employee culture and the employee experience at NGS. The HR Department includes the Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, the Internal Communications and the Medical teams and it leads the internship program and the staff-facing DEI efforts at NGS.


Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP), the Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist (TAOS) will work in tandem with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure effective recruitment by providing administrative, process and scheduling support, applicant sourcing and a positive candidate experience throughout the onboarding process. The TAOS will be instrumental in providing a more streamlined experience in the recruiting and hiring process and in helping to identify and onboard diverse and extraordinary talent.Your Impact

Responsibilities Include

  • Work collaboratively with the TAPs to provide administrative, logistics and scheduling support throughout the recruiting and hiring process. Examples of what this entails include: scheduling meetings with hiring managers to begin the recruiting process for a new requisition, posting jobs to recruiting listservs and job boards and paying invoices related to advertising, scheduling phone screens and interviews for TAPs, hiring managers and interview committees, creating phone screen templates, maintaining resource folders for each position with resumes, job descriptions and interview notes, as well as assisting with reference and background checks. 50%
  • Sourcing potential candidates and building diverse candidate pools by engaging with professional networks and social media platforms. Building relationships with colleges and universities to organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events. Create a tracking system to foster relationships with past applicants and potential candidates. All sourcing efforts will assist with the development and implementation of our diversity initiatives. 30%
  • With the candidate and new hire experience in mind, serves as the point of contact with hiring managers, IT, Facilities, and the Total Rewards team to coordinate an orientation schedule for each new hire. This includes ensuring the new hire is assigned a workspace, technology equipment is ordered, trainings are scheduled, necessary onboarding paperwork and forms (I9, DC Wage Acknowledgment, etc.) are sent and signed, and assisting the TAPs and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with updating orientation schedules and presentations. 10%
  • Provide administrative and scheduling support to the Staff Talent Management Team for existing and new learning and development programs and maintain tracking for recruitment campaigns and career development paths. 10%

What You’ll Bring

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Years and Type of Experience

3 years work experience in a fast paced support role, preferably in a Human Resources or Staffing environment. Previous experience with recruiting or community engagement is a plus.

Necessary Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience providing support to a team, scheduling, managing processes and maintaining spreadsheets and databases
  • Interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong client service orientation and the ability to multitask and collaborate across departments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and think strategically and proactively

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Workday
  • Networking and relationship building experience
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases, job boards and professional networks
