The Office of Graduate Admissions currently seeks an Assistant Director. The Office of Graduate Admissions provides comprehensive information about ESIA graduate programs and admissions procedures to prospective domestic and international graduate students. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director executes a comprehensive recruiting strategy in our national domestic markets. This position directly affects targeted ESIA enrollment projections each semester.

This position typically represents the university both on campus and off-campus in order to build relationships and analyze data to manage a recruitment territory, evaluate admissions applications. The core responsibilities of this role are typically to execute strategic recruitment initiatives, to analyze recruitment data to determine eligibility for special admissions programs, and to ensure file completion. This role may also plan, execute, and represent the university both on-campus and off-campus at events via information sessions, interviews, college fairs, open houses, department events, and may coordinate special programs/projects in support of admissions efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Executes a comprehensive, data driven recruitment strategy in domestic markets. 
  • Develops strategies for increasing diversity in admissions funnel. 
  • Ensures all ESIA on-campus and off-campus yield events are developed and marketed through TargetX CRM. Directly manages all yield event communications.
  • Performs initial and final reviews of applications for domestic and international applicants.
  • Facilitates the Admissions Review process for all disciplinary and criminal screening with the Director of Admissions.
  • Develops and executes all major yield events including an Admitted Student Dinner, Online Admitted Student events, and Spring Admitted Student Day, as well as other recruitment and yield events around the country. 
  • Creates content and implements marketing and communication plans, including web, ads, publications, social media and mass communication.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience successfully managing a comprehensive graduate recruitment and admissions strategy.

Proficiency in using web-based communication tools including but not limited to online chat, social media.

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills. A history of strong attention to detail and ability to organize large quantities of information for distribution to and use by others.

Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to help people feel at ease. Must function comfortably in a team structure and be able to speak before large and small groups with confidence.

Prior admissions related experience at a college or university.

Graduate degree in higher education administration, internal education or related field is desired.
