Description

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women's health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Program Manager, High-Risk Breast Cancer Screening to manage the day to day operations of the College's High-Risk Breast Cancer Screening program.



  • Oversee the coordination and management of all aspects of the High-Risk Breast Cancer Screening project (Technical Expert Panel, video eModule production, project promotion) including planning, organizing, staffing, budgeting and managing program activities
  • Supervise the Specialist/Assistant as he/she coordinates program logistics including meeting preparation, scheduling, and follow-up. Manage the development of program materials, including evidence evaluation manuscript for publication and dissemination, video scripts and promotion plan
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationship with CDC project officers and communicate program goals and successes to federal stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships and coordinate work with Evidence Panel experts and partners organization representatives, including routinely scheduled conference calls and meetings. Coordinate and communicate with ACOG Resource Center, Communications, Marketing, and Education staff on project specific activities
  • In conjunction with the Marketing and Communications team, manage communication and marketing efforts to effectively promote and disseminate materials to ACOG members and project partners and stakeholders
  • Oversee development and production of video eModules for provider education
  • Represent the program both inside and outside of the College, including booth exhibiting and outreach at national and regional meetings. Provide program updates at meetings. Analyze program data for continuous quality improvement and oversee project evaluation efforts
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during implementation and execution
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and flexibility while managing conflicting deadlines

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in health-related field; significant background in women's health issues. Knowledge of ACOG structure and issues preferred
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with evidence-base guideline development principles, health care provider education, and understanding of media and promotion opportunities
  • Experience in program management and implementation, including meeting planning, committee/work group management, provider education, promotion and evaluation
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to interact with a variety of persons and institutions, and to handle multiple levels of responsibility. Skills in managing multifaceted projects; self-direction
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Basic knowledge of video development and production management preferred; Occasional travel required
