Position Objective: Plan, organize and direct fundraising initiatives of the organization. The Associate Director of Development works closely and is supervised by the Executive Director. The Associate Director of Development manages two development associates to further the fundraising programs.

Essential Functions:

·      Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy for AGI in conjunction with the Executive Director

·      Manage the fundraising efforts of AGI and support the fundraising of the AGI Foundation

·      Meet with prospective and past donors to establish continuous communications about the organizations fundraising efforts

·      Continue the development of the major gifts program and further develop the legacy giving program

·      Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements

·      Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives

·      Coordinate fundraising special events

·      Oversee prospect research

·      Make public appearances and accept speaking engagements to share information about the organization

·      Oversee fundraising database and tracking system

·      Develop alternative giving methods for donors

·      Manage the fundraising efforts of AGI and the AGI Foundation

Required Education & Experience:

·      Five years of previous development experience

·      Bachelor’s Degree

·      Excellent written, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Education & Experience:

·      Ten or more years of previous development experience

·      Foundation relationship experience
