The position is to be filled as of October 1, 2021, with a contract duration until December 31, 2022, due to a parental leave replacement. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. In coordination with your team, working from home is possible at any time. 

 

Welthungerhilfe's Fundraising Unit is responsible for attracting and retaining individual and permanent donors using dialog marketing tools. Postal mailings remain a central pillar of our comprehensive, cross-channel communications work. As Expert Fundraising, you will combine your passion and expertise for this tool with Welthungerhilfe's global goal: "Zero Hunger by 2030". With long-term oriented, customer-centric activities, you will convince our private donors and thus win and retain them for the common fight against global hunger.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Conception, coordination and implementation of fundraising measures (especially direct mail) to attract, retain and win back private donors
  • Strategic and content-related further development of the work area
  • Planning and controlling the budget of the work area
  • Selection of and cooperation with relevant service providers
  • Management of correspondence with donors in the event of queries and responses
  • Selection and control of further instruments of dialog marketing and the online area

 

Your profile

 

  • A university or polytechnic degree in a relevant field such as marketing or a qualification suitable for the position
  • Several years of practical professional experience in the conception and creation of DirectMail packages and the management of involved service providers
  • Experience in the implementation of fundraising measures and ideally in working with agencies 
  • Strong communication skills, a confident and articulate writing style and a strong customer focus
  • Ability to cooperate and work in a team in an intercultural work environment
  • Hands-on-mentality
  • Very good written and spoken German as well as good English language skills
