The All Voting is Local campaign is a collaborative effort of the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU), the American Constitution Society (ACS), the Campaign Legal Center (CLC), the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Lawyers’ Committee), and The Education Fund and its project, Access Democracy. All Voting is Local offers an integrated approach to identifying, preventing and remedying voting barriers, by pinpointing opportunities to expand access to the ballot, and improving how elections are run. Building upon the work of national, state, and local voting rights organizations, the campaign seeks to strengthen local activist networks by equipping them with the tools and experience to determine how election administration practices are expanding -- or suppressing -- access to the ballot.
The National Campaign Manager supports the management of All Voting is Local at the national level, helping to oversee the campaign and establish standards necessary to administer its activities. The Manager will manage communications among and between national leadership and the campaign’s state directors, advise and support state directors on strategy and programming, and assist with connecting national resources with state-based activities. The National Campaign Manager reports to the All Voting is Local Campaign Director and is based in Washington, D.C.
Ideal candidates for this position will hold a Law or Master’s degree (preferred but not required) with 5 to 7 years post college professional experience with political, organizing, or campaigning. They must also have past experience in voting rights or civil rights coalition work, the ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple projects and competing priorities. A team player, with sound judgement, excellent written and oral communication skills is also necessary.
