This is a general call for proposals to identify individuals who are interested in collaborating remotely with the World Justice Project (WJP) as independent contractors to conduct data searches and data-entry activities to support rule of law research projects, on an intermittent basis over the next 12 months as we need additional support on various research projects. Qualified applicants will be added to a database of independent contractors and will be contacted directly by the team when relevant opportunities arise.
Time requirements will vary by specific project need, but most opportunities will require a part-time commitment. Contracts will be calculated using hourly rates or fees per deliverable. The team will keep applications on file for one year from the date the application was received for future opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Identify expert respondents to complete surveys on rule of law, justice, and governance topics in the European Union (EU) by conducting desk research.
· Collect and enter information in databases.
· Conduct checks to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted.
· Assist with managing large databases, as well as filtering and processing data.
· Transcribe sources of data into the required electronic formats.
· Conduct desk research on rule of law, justice, and governance topics in the EU.
Skills and Experience:
· This position is open to individuals who are currently enrolled or have finalized their Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics, Law, International Affairs, Communications, Public Policy, Languages, or related field with a GPA or 3.5 or higher.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Strong Excel skills required.
· Strong academic record and an enthusiastic interest in the rule of law.
· Ability to work independently, manage their own workload, and prioritize multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure.
· English fluency is required; proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
· Commitment to WJP’s mission and principles.
