Our mission: educate parents and certify Montessori teachers. Montessori education is transformative to society because it develops the full potential in children. Our small team of 10 holds the very BIG vision of bringing Montessori education into the mainstream. Our training is accessible, affordable, and we nurture each student personally. Our faculty have decades of training experience. We are nationally accredited with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) in both Early Childhood and Elementary teacher certification.
We are looking for someone who has strong executive leadership skills to continue building our business and brand, and managing the operations of our teacher training programs, products and services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively to meet business goals. In this role, you will be working closely with the board of directors, state authorities and the public. While our Academic Program Director is the face of the organization to the Montessori community, you will provide the interface with the local business community and donor base. You will ensure that staff members are aligned with the company’s mission and vision and that we are working together to successfully achieve strategic objectives. Our company has a close-knit culture in which we place a high priority on communication, recognition and collaboration. We are in search of an Executive Director who is aligned with our culture and will continue to enhance it through positive leadership and team building.
· Develop and manage initiatives for growth
· Financial Management: budgeting, reports, payroll
· Oversight of Student Payment Plans
· Oversight of operations of academic programs including online learning
· Set policies for company, define and manage projects
· Responsible for legal matters of company including liability insurance, copyright, licensing, and royalty
· Oversight of sales and marketing
· Oversight of admissions process
· Familiar with manageing online business
· Develop and manage fundraising initiatives
· Roll up your sleeves to do what needs to be done
Executive Director qualifications and skills:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. OR
o An equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education
approved by Human Resources.
o Successful entrepreneurial leadership - independent management of
business or project from start to success
o Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans
o Strong understanding of financial management and performance metrics
o Strong abilities in verbal and written communication, presentations
o Ability to balance hard skills with soft management style
o Relationship development/excellent team building/listening skill
o In-depth knowledge of best practices in management and governance
o Familiar with business in an academic environment
o Donor base development and relationships
o Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and digital media
o Good basic understanding of Montessori philosophy and why it is a superior education method
