Position Overview:
People’s Light seeks a dynamic and strategic Associate Director of Development to join our fundraising team! Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate Director of Development is a key member of the fundraising team at People’s Light, whose primary responsibility is to identify, develop, and nurture philanthropic relationships with donors and prospects, consistently grow the pipeline of major gift prospects for the company, and successfully secure major gifts from these prospects. A core function for this role is to research, identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high net worth (HNW) individuals who have the capacity for five to seven figure gifts as donor prospects. This position will develop a tailored strategy for each prospect and proactively coordinate steps to move them toward readiness in order to be asked for a substantial gift, over and above their annual support, as well as participating in the ask to secure these gifts as appropriate.
While this is primarily an in-person position in Malvern, PA there is flexibility for some remote work.
This position is also the primary fundraising staff member to plan and execute, while overseeing support staff if/as appropriate, fundraising events that support the growth of philanthropic relationships with donors and prospects. These events may include, but are not limited to, donor benefit events, fundraising events and theatre travel tours. The role will also work to expand corporate support and giving at People’s Light, collaborating closely with the Director of Development on corporate giving strategy and its implementation. This position works collaboratively across the organization, with frequent overlap and interaction with the Marketing and Farmhouse Operations teams.
This position serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Trustees, arranging and supporting full board meetings and some committee meetings.
This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, results-oriented fundraising professional who is passionate about the arts and eager to make a meaningful impact.
