Position: Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Fulltime

Supervisor: Development Director

Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid model, must reside in the DFW area)

Job Description:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting all of Mosaic Family Services Marketing and Communications efforts. The candidate will research market trends and compile reports, create marketing campaign content including, but not restricted to: graphics, videos, emailers, blog posts, social media posts; and assist with executing other marketing efforts lead by the Fund Development team. This will be a dynamic role and will help set the tone and direction of Mosaic’s messaging and branding. The successful candidate will thrive in a multicultural environment.

Duties:

• Create and distribute press releases, media relations content, bi-monthly newsletter content, and speaking proposals

• Promote the organization through public relations initiatives

• Manage Mosaic’s social media assets, including campaign ideation and execution

• Identify, develop, and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and corporate supporters

• Develop and manage media relationships and coordinate/manage press interviews

• Research media coverage and industry trends

• Build meaningful relationships with key journalists

• Create and maintain marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic

• Work with publication vendors for timely ad submissions

• Design and create ads to help support departmental marketing needs (e.g. awareness campaign and fundraising events)

• Design, launch and maintain statistics on email marketing fundraising campaigns

• Maintain website design and operation

• Create and maintain organization literature and other forms of communication

• Develop fresh client story ideas

• Develop and manage monthly report of ROI (Return on Investment) on Marketing and Communication efforts

• Work directly with Fund Development team to identify and execute project needs and specifications

• Brief Development Director on design, copy, image, and content needs for promotional and fundraising literature and activities

• Act as a brand and messaging steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects

• Increase operational efficiency and help set up and improve workflow processes when and where needed

• Other duties assigned by the Director of Development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications required

• Minimum of two to four years of professional Marketing or Communications experience required

• Experience in nonprofit preferred

• Confident communicator and outstanding interpersonal skills required

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading and layout/design skills required

• High degree of problem-solving abilities required

• Superior project, time, and organizational management skills required

• Have a strong public presence – articulate, optimistic, and energetic with the ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels

• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

• Experience with research using data analytics software

• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

• Flexibility in schedule, ability to attend events after work hours or on weekends.

• Organized, creative, and detail-oriented.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required.

• Experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MailChimp, etc.).

• Proficiency in Photoshop

• Proficiency in video editing

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.

• Desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of non-profit

• Able to represent the organization in a professional manner

• Most importantly a passion for Mosaic Family Services mission and making a difference in the North Texas Community
