Orion, a non-profit magazine about people and nature, seeks a Database Manager to join our small, hard-working team. This person will be responsible for all of Orion’s constituent data, including subscribers, donors, and other stakeholders. This person plays a crucial role in Orion’s circulation, fundraising, and customer service, and the position must be filled by someone who truly enjoys hands-on data management and derives professional satisfaction from maintaining very clean data. The database manager functions as both database operator and database administrator. They must be alert to trends, relationships, and opportunities that emerge through their close contact with the data, and know when and how to communicate those insights clearly to their colleagues. They must be committed to learning the full capacity of Orion’s Salesforce database and to helping steward a workplace environment that is data-driven and reader-centric.
The salary range for this position is $36,000-$45,000 for a 36-hour work week (M-Th 9am-5pm, F 9am-1pm), plus a very generous health/dental/life and PTO benefits package.
