Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) is a non-profit organization with a mission to align and equip leaders to use the power of business to prevent human trafficking. BEST is recruiting for a full-time Employer Liaison to manage the new Safe Jobs Collaborative. The Safe Jobs Collaborative is a coalition of human service agencies and employers seeking to assist survivors of human trafficking as well as persons ‘at risk’ to gain job training and employment. The position will primarily be responsible for coordinating participating human service agencies and participating employers to successfully hire and retain human trafficking survivors. The ideal candidate has experience working in employment services, is a strong communicator, and can help to build and run an innovative employment collaborative.


Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing ongoing support to participating employers and service agency partners
  • Planning and hosting training events for employers as well as other program events
  • Providing training and coaching to participating employers
  • Collecting, entering, and reporting data
  • Onboarding new service provider agency partners and employers
  • Coordinating the creation of new technology tools
  • Scheduling monthly meetings with partners and taking notes
  • Maintaining the employer library and job training library for our partners
  • Creating standard operating procedures for the program
  • Providing administrative support for all day-to-day operations of the program


Required Capacities and Skills:

  • Experience working in a human services agency that serves a vulnerable population
  • Professional written and verbal communications that are appropriate for employers and human service agencies
  • Attention to detail
  • Data management experience
  • Produces high quality work
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Able to motivate partners to fulfill a task
  • Excellent at executing a plan or idea and taking ownership to bring the plan to fruition
  • Intelligent, learns quickly, and adapts easily to new situations

  • Personable and hospitable to stakeholders yet enjoys working alone
  •  Ability to continue working in the organization for the long-term
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in business, social work, or the humanities
