Global Language Project (GLP) seeks an enthusiastic and self-motivated Manger of Teacher Training to join GLP’s vibrant New York City team. The Manager of Teacher Training will plan, oversee, and grow GLP’s world language teacher training programs. The ideal candidate has experience in program management, language education, is detail-oriented, a strategic thinker, and has strong interpersonal skills.


Teacher Training Planning

  • Determine content and structure of training programs
  • Plan with and manage consultant trainers
  • Provide feedback and work closely on planning with consultants and lead teacher presenters
  • Coordinate logistics of in-person and online training
  • Manage and grow application base for teacher training programs
  • Create budgets and track expenses

Relationship Cultivation

  • Manage relationships with schools and principals
  • Coordinate university partnerships and scholarships for teachers
  • Recruit teachers for training programs
  • Expand and strengthen network of consultants
  • Liaise with key partners and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with team


  • Create systems for evaluation
  • Analyze and improve programming based on evaluation data
  • Track activities and manage data
  • Assist with grant reports and funding proposals

Strategic Planning

  • Evaluate opportunities for growth
  • Develop plans to expand programming and increase teacher reach

Curriculum (As needed, and in collaboration with Program Associate)

  • Familiarity with elementary school pedagogy and world language standards
  • Respond to content-related inquiries about GLP’s curriculum
  • Provide macro and micro feedback to curriculum writers

Skills and Experience

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with program management (in education preferred)
  • Experience working with adult learners (with teachers preferred)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive applications, and webinar hosting platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time
  • Ability to think strategically about future and growth of organization
  • Available some Saturdays throughout the year
  • Interest in language education
  • Commitment to professional growth
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Wordpress preferred
  • Proficiency in another language preferred
