St. Mark’s is a vibrant neighborhood church in Evanston, Illinois with just over 200 members. Nearly 25% of our members are children! While the Associate of Operations has limited interaction with parishioners, they do play an essential role in ensuring that this amazing place runs smoothly and efficiently so that it can continue to focus on its ministries to our neighbors – those who come inside our doors and those who we meet where they are!

St. Mark’s is seeking an experienced Associate of Operations to partner with its liturgical staff and oversee general operations of the church. This is a new 20 hour per week exempt position (weekdays; schedule to be determined). This is not an entry level position.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated with professional demeanor and presence, positive attitude, and excellent verbal communication and inter-personal skills. They must possess strong organizational skills and an attention to detail, proficiency in office procedures and methods, knowledge of office computers and software. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of independent problem solving and decision making.

We are a small staff and so it is essential that the Associate of Operations be enthusiastic about working as a full member of the team and motivating volunteers. A sense of humor is a must.
