Are you looking for a position where you will be challenged daily and make a significant impact? Are you ready to apply your skills and talents at an organization fighting gentrification and preserving affordable homeownership for the most vulnerable in our community? Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade is looking for a Construction Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction department.

The Construction Manager (CM) often acts as the face of the organization with constituents served. While the primary role of this position is oversight of the construction process the CM also interacts with donors, volunteers, and community members on a regular basis. A positive attitude, empathetic disposition, and passion for service are of utmost importance. An average day in the life of our CM often includes duties such as visiting a home to write a budget and scope of work, entering construction data in Salesforce, visiting job sites to check progress of hired contractors and handypersons, purchasing materials, training/leading volunteers, and ensuring safety procedures are followed in our warehouse and on job sites.

The person hired for this position will work primarily in the field; ability to effectively communicate by mobile phone is required. Candidates must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, physically load and unload vehicles at our office and job sites, and maintain the timely completion of projects.

About Us

Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade (RTMD) brings volunteers and communities together to repair homes, small businesses, and community spaces owned or operated by vulnerable populations. We make extensive repairs and accessibility modifications to homes throughout Miami-Dade in an effort to increase quality of life for families and preserve affordable homeownership opportunities for future generations. Recently we expanded our programs and now serve small businesses and community spaces in an effort to broaden our reach and revitalize entire communities. Our vision is safe homes and communities for everyone.

The average homeowner served by RTMD is 69 years old, has owned their home for over 25 years, and has a household income of $19,200. Our impact extends beyond the individuals served to fight gentrification and stabilize neighborhoods, throughout Miami-Dade County. These efforts are strengthened by partnerships and collaborations with corporate sponsors, government agencies, skilled contractors, civic organizations, faith communities, and community volunteers.
