Role Overview:  

Reporting to Institutional Relations Senior Manager, the Development Coordinator will support the Major Gifts and Foundations teams by providing timely and accurate administrative support for a variety of major projects. This entry level role will provide unique insight into how the world’s largest performing arts center is run, and we hope that this opportunity serves as a starting point for a career in the arts and/or fundraising. We’re looking for someone who’s superpower is attention to detail. In this position you’ll need to work swiftly, but always with precision. 


Note: this is a contract position with strong potential to become permanent   


What you’ll get to do here:  

  • Maintain accurate donor information in the Tessitura and Clearview databases 
  • Perform all aspects of donation processing, data entry of gifts, acknowledgement letters, and donor tax-receipts  
  • Track and process donations  
  • Maintain files of donor information and gift processing documentation 
  • Assist with report generation - both scheduled and ad hoc reports 
  • Update team deadlines list 
  • Track report and proposal submissions 
  • Compile report data
  • Conduct prospect research  
  • Curate donor contact lists  
  • Proofread reports and proposals as needed  


 You’ll be a fit if you bring:  

  • 1-2 years of relevant prior work experience 
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment 
  • Passion for solving problems and nailing the details 
  • Strong work ethic (and will not be phased by repetitive work) 
  • Experience making systems and processes more efficient 
  • Ambition to grow your career and take on new challenges 
  • The ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and discretion 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interest in the arts  


You’ll be a great fit if you bring: 

  • Experience using a CRM platform like Tessitura, Clearview or Salesforce
