Program Team Manager

Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is seeking a Program Team Manager to lead a team of program specialists and the delivery of high-quality Girl Scouts program activities to ensure all girls have an amazing Girl Scouts experience. The ideal candidate will be great at collaborating, building relationships, and bringing out the best in others.


What you’ll do

The Program Team Manager is responsible for managing the Program Liaison Specialist staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality program activities that provide girls with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, which operate according to local and national policies, procedures, and standards. The Program Team Manager is also responsible for coordinating the program activity guide publication, managing large team events and projects, and vetting and establishing new program partners.

  • Collaboration & relationship building – within the team, internally across departments, and with community partners.
  • Develop program goals and ensure program standards are met, including standards of equity, inclusion, and access for ALL girls and members.
  • Marketing and communications to promote Girl Scouts program activities.
  • Design and implement program evaluations.
  • Manage multiple budgets.
  • Program team staff and volunteer management and support.

 

What you bring

  • Outstanding collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory role of multiple paid staff – at least 2 years.
  • Previous budget management experience – at least 1 year.
  • Strong team and project leadership skills, including event management.
  • Impeccable communication skills, including verbal and written, and public speaking.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to create, interpret, and present data, and use data in effective decision-making.
  • Knowledge/Skills in program evaluation design and assessment.
  • Computer proficient, including Microsoft office suite and ease in learning new applications.
  • Ability to travel to events and program activity locations.

 

How it works

  • Compensation – Exempt salaried, starting at $1,679/semi-monthly pay period (equivalent to $40,290 annually).

  • Hours – Full-time. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends, and occasional travel.
  • Location - This position is based out of our Southwest Portland Service Center. We are close to Downtown, Beaverton, and Hillsboro, near Multnomah Village. Our location has ample free parking and is located next to the Barbur Transit Center.
