Way Finders is currently seeking a full-time Grants and Stewardship Coordinator. The Grants and Stewardship Coordinator furthers our mission by providing support through the preparation of proposals and grants applications, researching and responding to grant opportunities, and in the administration of organizational surveys, stewardship activities, and impact reports.

The candidate will work in a hybrid-remote capacity but must live within commutable distance to our main office in Springfield, MA. In-office work and in-person meetings are occasionally expected.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee a grants portfolio of foundations, corporations, and public agencies, including an efficient system that tracks deadlines, funding requests, reporting and processing information, and budget details; ensure all applications are submitted in an acceptable and timely manner with necessary data, approvals, and endorsements
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop content for proposals and reports, keeping abreast of new/updated agency policies, procedures, deadlines, and timeframes of new initiatives
• Manage all required annual surveys, working across the organization to gather and post information in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Director of Development, Grants Manager, and relevant department directors to identify, research, and set strategies for grants and foundations that are prospects for initiatives; identify appropriate funding from new and existing prospects to meet ongoing needs
• Work with the Fiscal department to assure budgets are consistent with the proposal guidelines, narrative, and project design
• Coordinate post-award meetings with department and senior program staff to include review of deliverables or contract, assist with negotiation of terms and conditions where appropriate, and ensure timely submission of acknowledgments and signed documents
• Assist in compiling and delivering impact reports to external stakeholders
• In collaboration with the Director of Development, coordinate a stewardship plan that includes the Marketing and Communications team, ensuring donors are appropriately thanked, communicated with, and stewarded throughout the calendar year
• Collaborate with Resource Development team in the development of outreach, communications, and marketing materials

Requirements include:

• 5 years’ equivalent experience in grant/technical writing, development, or a related role, with 1 year as a field specialist; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be a substitute
• Preference for experience in a nonprofit setting
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Understanding of fund development regulations, reporting requirements and budget procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and ease in learning new software or technology; preference for experience with database applications
• Advanced organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail
• Ability to analyze and manage competing priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment
