The Organization
Oasis Legal Services is a non-profit legal services organization based in Berkeley, California. We proudly provide quality legal immigration services to under-represented low-income groups with a focus on LGBTQIA+ communities. Founded in May 2017, Oasis is now one of the country's largest providers of immigration services to the LGBTQIA+ community and serves over 500 clients a year. We specialize in affirmative asylum cases as well as legal permanent residency, citizenship, and family petition applications. In addition to direct representation, we partner with community organizations from around the Bay Area on education and advocacy projects.
The Position
Oasis Legal Services is seeking a full time Asylum Program Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to our Legal Program Director and Asylum Program Director. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and works well in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

A demonstrated commitment to the LGBTQIA+ and/or immigrant community, experience providing legal support services, and familiarity in working with clients in crisis or who are recent trauma survivors are all plusses but not requirements.

This is a full time non-exempt position. Compensation is $22 - $26 per hour depending on experience for 35 hours per week, plus a daily paid lunch hour. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. Generous vacation and holiday package. Professional development opportunities available.
