Campus Vote Project (CVP) was launched in 2012 by Fair Elections Center to expand our work on student voting issues. We work with universities, community colleges, faculty, students, and election officials to reduce barriers to student voting. CVP helps campuses institutionalize reforms that empower students with the information they need to register and vote. Campus Vote Project has three main areas of focus: institutionalizing voter engagement, providing up-to-date election information, and developing student leaders.

CVP is collaborating with coalitions in nine states (Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Texas) to ensure that students’ voices are heard in the redistricting processes which are occurring across the country in 2021. Our goal is to educate college students about redistricting in their state and generate student involvement in efforts to create fair maps for the coming decade. We seek to engage students in their state’s redistricting process so that map proposals do not unfairly dilute student populations and so that student communities of interest are taken into account when lines are redrawn.

Position Description

They are charged with quickly solidifying and deploying a program to recruit and supervise college students to serve as Redistricting Fellows in up to nine states. Overall, the National Manager will supervise a team of approximately 30 campus-based, stipended fellows in these states. This position reports jointly to the CVP National Director and Fair Elections Center’s National Special Projects Manager.
