Manhattan Country School seeks an IT & Systems Manager. This position will be an administrative and support role. This position offers a unique opportunity to help guide the technology mission and to run the IT department, as well as support staff with technology needs. The IT & Systems Manager reports to the Operations Manager. Candidates should apply if they have practical experience in IT and systems and want to expand their understanding of how technology is integrated into the academic program and the overall operation of the school community.

The role of the IT & Systems Manager includes the following:

● Support staff and faculty with technology inquiries i.e. troubleshoot issues with our blended Mac and PC environment

● Set up and monitor school-wide accounts such as (but not limited to) Zoom and Google Workspace for Education

● Manage, maintain and troubleshoot the following: ○ All AV equipment ○ Network software and hardware ○ Firewall ○ Various servers and virtual machines ○ VoIP telephones ○ Network printing and internet connectivity ○ Software licenses

● Work with the Director of Finance and Operations Manager to research, contact, and negotiate contracts with tech related vendors

● Work with Tech Team to set up, manage, and maintain school-wide laptops

● Provide technology support for school functions (assemblies, meetings, classroom presentations)

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred

● Experience with network administration

● Experience with Google Workspace for Education, Zoom, and MS Suite

● Experience managing network security in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred

● I.T. certifications strongly preferred (Network+, CCNA, Security+, etc)

● Knowledge of applicable educational data privacy practices and laws

● Highly self-motivated and organized, with attention to detail ● Ability to work with a variety of people in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

● Experience delivering technology training in an accessible manner to users with a wide variety of proficiencies
