General Summary: Manages all front office functions for the Center for Learning (CFL) and Disability Support Services (DSS) including customer service to students and faculty, coordination of testing services, information dissemination, and supervision of student worker staff. Provides general support to the director and two associate directors.


Job Description:

  • Provides initial, welcoming reception and customer service for students, faculty, and staff seeking assistance from the Center for Learning and Disability Support Services regarding programs, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborates with the assistant director of DSS and coordinates all aspects of DSS test, quizzes, and final exam processes. Includes scheduling, obtaining test materials, assigning testing rooms, monitoring test start and end times, proctoring tests, terminating testing if student is observed cheating, and communicating with faculty. Secures overflow testing spaces, assigns locations based on accommodation needs, schedules proctor support, organizes test supplies, and facilitates timely receipt and delivery of exams.
  • Solves problems in a fast-paced environment during busy parts of the quarter.
  • Provides general administrative support for professional staff including managing appointments, quarterly tracking of usage, purchasing office supplies, budget and reimbursement processes, office maintenance, and special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinates Study Tables set up including opening and closing duties, maintaining tutor and table supplies, and other projects as assigned by the Assistant Director of Learning Services.
  • Selects, trains, and supervises student office assistants on all aspects of office functions, including managing student payroll sheets.
  • Supports the development and production of promotional materials and information about the Center for Learning, including maintaining the Center for Learning website and social media by making necessary updates and modifications.


Requirements:

  • Associates degree or commensurate experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years office experience required. Two or more years of office experience in a higher education setting or experience in testing administration preferred.
  • Ability to type at least 50+ wpm. 
  • Ability to communicate sensitively with a diverse clientele, customer service experience, strong problem solving skills and competence in managing multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with Banner, Canvas and Publisher, a plus.


Additional Information:

Position will remain open until filled.


This position is a full time, exempt position for 10 months, September through June.


Salary: $33,000 (10 month position)
