Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 124-year-old settlement house widely recognized as one of New York’s premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves thousands of individuals and families in need each year through a wide array of effective and integrated services—social, educational, legal, housing, health, mental health, nutritional and fitness. We are committed to achieving an ongoing, organizational culture of excellence and to achieving the very highest outcomes for our clients. For more information on Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, please visit our website at www.lenoxhill.org.

Our Early Childhood Center is a model program and lab school for innovations designed to provide the best possible educational, developmental and social services to 141 very low-income preschoolers and their families--all eligible for Head Start--and to advance the field of early childhood education and development on a national level. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and set the standard for comprehensive educational and family services in the preeminent Early Childhood setting. Our holistic approach prepares children for success in elementary school and in life by offering a seamless, age-appropriate curriculum that strengthens language, literacy, motor, social and emotional and cognitive development, as well as integrated Family Services. Our educational curriculum includes art, music, movement, swimming, farm to table food and many other components from our multifaceted settlement house.
