Description

The Community Idea Stations is seeking a Social Media Specialist. This is a full time position with benefits and reports to the Director of Digital Engagement and Innovation.


The Social Media Specialist runs the day-to-day social media activity of the Community Idea Stations by curating, editing, and creating content for the station’s social media pages in order to build meaningful relationships, engage with fans, and drive traffic to the website. This position collaborates with staff responsible for the station’s email marketing and websites, as well as staff in radio, television, community engagement and development departments to use digital content to support the station’s mission and objectives.


Successful candidates will be savvy and strategic social media users who are also able to coach and teach others to use social media. Candidates should be excellent writers, editors, and presenters who can work both independently and as part of a team. Experience working in public media or in a public media environment is preferred.
