POSITION OVERVIEW


This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented multitasker to contribute to the seamless functioning of Corazon’s Santa Ana office. The Operations Associate is a critical member of the Corazon team—working with volunteers and interns, the program team, and Executive leadership. The Operations Associate is often the first person who our sponsors, volunteers and supporters will meet when they come through our doors. The Operations Associate is responsible for providing the high-quality operational support it needs to ensure that the team has the ability to successfully deliver work between the U.S. and Tijuana offices. This person should not only seamlessly manage existing operational systems, but also problem solve and improve upon the status quo. The Operations Associate sets the standard of excellence for internal and external customer service. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Associate role provides an exciting opportunity for an emerging professional to grow his/her/their strategic planning and project management knowledge, development and event skills, and direct program service experience in a dynamic and nimble workplace.


AS AN OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL:


Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, which includes scheduling, drafting emails, and preparing the Executive Director for critical internal and external meetings. Coordinate regional program and fundraising events, and celebrations. Own overall office management, including ordering supplies, submitting expenses, and serving as a touchpoint for technology support. Serves as facilities liaison to the building.

Provide operational support to the team in the U.S. and Mexico as needed to improve upon systems, tools, and resources.


OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years administrative experience preferred or equivalent work experience; experience working or volunteering with low-income communities is highly preferred.

Spanish proficiency is required.

·     You are highly organized and possess excellent time management skills; you are able to meet deadlines in spite of frequent interruptions.

·     You take initiative and have a knack for devising creative solutions to any problem in your path.

·     You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy juggling several tasks at once.

·     You are customer-oriented and approach every situation with a spirit of generosity.

·     You demonstrate good judgement and discretion.

·     You are respectful of people from all backgrounds and strive to treat everyone kindly and warmly.

·     You are an experienced user of MS Office (Word, Google Suite, and Excel specifically); other systems such as the NationBuilder Website and CRM, and the Adobe Suite are a plus.
