Position Description:

The Events Coordinator is a temporary, month to month position starting mid-April and expecting to continue through mid-August.  The Events Coordinator will submit deliverables and reports to the Director of Development.  The Coordinator will have the primary responsibility for the planning and execution of two fundraising events.

Responsibilities:

· Plan and execute two major, annual fundraising events

· Coordinate and manage venues and virtual platforms

· Outsource and manage event vendors

· Create timelines and schedules

· Create and own production and logistics documents

· Oversee attendees and sponsor attendance

· Outreach and solicit sponsorships and ticket sales

· Liaise with sponsors and enhance relationships

· Organize volunteer experiences for honorees and speakers affiliated with events

· Produce regular event reports to enable staff and Board to monitor progress

· Staff event committees and work closely with the Board and the committees to most effectively engage volunteer leadership in fundraising

· Develop and maintain two event budgets

· Achieve revenue and expense targets for events

· Work closely with the Marketing Department and with vendors on electronic and print materials for both events

Qualifications:

Passion for community service and social welfare. Prior event planning experience required. Positive can-do attitude, with no task too big or too small. Creative, tactical, a problem-solver and a self-starter. Strong communication skills – both written and oral. Comfortable working in a team environment, both taking and giving direction. Hard working and recognize this business does not have set hours. Incredibly resourceful. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent computer and internet research skills. Detail oriented and extremely organized. Ability to successfully multi-task and take full ownership of assigned projects. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation:

Assignment requires a full-time commitment.  Month to month independent consultant contract (1099 form to be issued). Compensation between $6,250 - $6,670 monthly based on experience.  No benefits are provided.
