Live Out Loud, a nonprofit organization in NYC, partners with families, schools and communities providing LGBTQ+ youth with resources, role models and opportunities to help them discover their own voice and become leaders of change.

Live Out Loud is currently looking for an Educational Program Manager! This inspirational individual will have the opportunity to engage potential school partners, craft high school curriculum, and facilitate sessions with high school students.

Your Future Role:

·      Develop, deliver and assess an innovative educational curriculum and workshops for high school students.

·      Administer the course process and provide for the development of new courses, workshops, and conferences.

·      Coordinate the production of Live Out Loud’s educational materials, collateral, and takeaways.

·      Facilitate 60 to 90 minute educational programs in-person and virtually at NYC high schools and beyond.

·      Serve as the primary point of contact with current and new partners, guest speakers, professional organizations, school districts, and city council members. 

·      Coordinate with the DOE and the DYCD on grant proposals, implementation, and final reports.

·      Design and coordinate programming for community wide Live Out Loud events (beyond the schools!)

·      Lead a program committee to continuously improve the quality of our educational programs.

·      Evaluate and create program metrics and be up to date on program performance.

·      Manage post event documentation including attendance tracking, program reporting, and partner follow-ups.

·      Train and develop youth organizers and interns.

·      Coordinate and implementation of the scholarship application process, review, and selection.

·      Contributes to social media presence, assisting with drafting of posts, stories, and campaigns.

You Have:

  • 2 Years Teaching Experience is Required.

·      Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (Master’s degree in education, social work is nice to have).

·      2-5 years of experience in education, social work, or youth development.

·      Excellent leadership, program management and community organizing skills.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills which demonstrate commitment to and respect of equity and inclusion.

·      Must be able to work as part of a team or independently to prioritize projects and meet multiple deadlines on time.

·      Regularly reviews and leads curriculum update and revision process for current course offerings.

·      Provides leadership on new program development opportunities and implementation.

·      Marketing and social media experience.

·      Facilitating experience.

·      Knowledge (and passion!) of LGBTQ+ community and issues.

Mondays: Office Open’s at 10:00AM

Fridays: Office Closes at 4pm

School Session: Evening & weekend hours when needed 

Paid Time Off, accrued per pay period
