Monitor and assist in the seamless, integrated coordination among systems and departments for the lifecycle of large and complex revenues, beginning with fundraising and culminating in making awards to grantee organizations worldwide. This unique and challenging role includes elements of financial planning and analysis, accounting, grant management, and salesforce administration. In particular, the position will focus on supporting robust projection and accounting control processes surrounding revenue, and will help to ensure that Salesforce and revenue projection systems meet the ever-changing needs of the organization, while functioning at the highest possible levels of efficiency and transparency. 


Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Manage annual revenue plans and quarterly revenue projections prepared by the Development team, utilizing Salesforce and Adaptive Insights systems
  • Assist Programs Team with annual grantmaking plans and quarterly grantmaking projections. Help ensure accurate information is available for timely grant awards

Grant Management

  • Support the Development team with budgets for fundraising proposals and prepare grant financial reports
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is prepared and maintained to support grant reporting and annual audits
  • Oversee and manage contracts and grants to ensure compliance with reporting and legal requirements, fulfillment of contractual and budget obligations, and provide interface with contracting entities 
  • Work closely with the Finance Officer to ensure accurate and timely reporting to members of the Global Fund for Women fiscal sponsorship program


  • Review, investigate, correct and approve weekly revenue batches and associated pledge and restricted revenue forms
  • Follow up on the collection of large pledges with fundraisers
  • Ensure appropriate use of restricted funds, and accurate and timely accounting for the release of restricted funds
  • Prepare monthly net assets accounting schedules
  • Manage accounting for fee for service (earned revenue) relationships 

Salesforce Administration

  • Serve as a Salesforce Administrator for the Development team
  • Assist with Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide key information and track progress 
  • Work with the Senior Information Management Officer to design and implement process and systems improvements to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of Salesforce, and to help ensure high quality data. These improvements include system automation when appropriate
  • Collaborate to provide outreach, guidance, training and support to Salesforce end users, motivating them to learn continuously
  • Cross-train with peers who perform critical salesforce tasks within fundraising and grant services departments, and provide back-up when needed 

Other Activities

  • Support and/or collaborate with other members of the Finance and Administration team and the Development team on special projects as needed; take on new tasks and responsibilities in these areas as feasible
  • Participate in cross-functional work-teams and other teams as appropriate
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Represent the Finance and Administration team and the Development team in a positive way within the organization and in interactions with individuals and organizations external to the Global Fund for Women


Internal Relationships

Report to Chief Financial Officer

Hold key relationship with VP of Development

Work very closely and receive guidance from:

Controller, Fundraisers, Senior Information Management Officer

Constructive and effective daily working relationships with all other teams, especially Grant Operations and Programs

External Relationships

Systems consultant




  • Experience with non-profit accounting reconciliations, G/L and A/R 
  • Expertise in cross-functional use of Salesforce, including Affinaquest and/or Nonprofit Success Pack
  • Experience with project accounting/job costing 
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in Adaptive Insights, general ledger accounting systems (preferably Intacct), and MS Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Proven record of accuracy, efficiency, dependability, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being able to operate successfully in a cross-functional and cooperative environment
  • Commitment to promoting the Global Fund for Women’s mission and goals, including its commitment to diversity and to women’s human rights


  • Salesforce-certified administrator


  • College Degree
  • At least three years of experience with non-profit, general ledger accounting and analysis, as well as use of Salesforce, Excel and accounting applications
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP in non-profit environment
