Family Shelter Residential Services Manager

We are seeking a Residential Services Manager to be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations of four shelter site offices that service families experiencing homelessness. This position provides direct supervision of Lead Residential Counselors that work at these four sites, and collaboration with the Property team, the Case Management teams, and the Clinical Team within Residential Programs. 

Responsibilities include: Support Lead Residential Counselors to ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling is met on a daily basis for four 24/7 shelter offices within the city of Lowell; Assist with resolving conflicts and managing emergencies; Work closely with Case Management Services Manager to provide best possible service to families; Develop strategies to identify barriers and improve services; Direct supervision of Lead Residential Counselors and indirect supervision of all Residential Counselors including recruitment, supervision, supervision, performance evaluation; Assist with orientation and training of new and existing staff; Under the direction of the Program Manager, ensure compliance with shelter standards, regulations, and rules; Monitor Communication Logs daily; Create relationships with community providers; Monitor supplies at offices and make sure sites are properly supplied.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

¨      Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Preferred

¨      3 Years’ experience in a Human service related field

¨    Knowledge of family systems and dynamics in providing services

¨    Understanding case management functions and how they relate to a families progress

¨    Strong problem solving skills

¨    Demonstrated leadership skills

¨    Excellent Customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

¨    Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

¨    Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software

¨    Strong decision making skills

¨    Excellent crisis management skills

¨    Ability to work some days and evening shifts

¨    Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Khmer, English/Portuguese) preferred

¨    Ability to work one weekend day per week required

 

 

Work Schedule:

·     Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
