The part time Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Supervisor is responsible for managing CASA volunteers and their assigned cases. As part of his or her duties, the CASA Supervisor provides professional staff support and guidance to CASA volunteers ensuring that children involved with the CASA program received sound advocacy and permanency planning. The CASA supervisor is responsible for volunteer supervision and coordination of cases. The CASA Supervisor support the volunteer with preparing court reports, attends court hearings with volunteers, assists with training of volunteers and ensure compliance with CASA program standards and case documentation.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in social work or related field plus a minimum of three years experience working in the child welfare field.
  2. The ability to effectively communicate with and supervise a diverse group of volunteers to be effective in their advocacy role for children in foster care. Experience working with volunteers preferred.
  3. Knowledge of and understanding of child abuse, child neglect, trauma, the Juvenile court system and foster care services.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
  5. Proficient computer skills (email, Word and database experience)
