Position Overview 

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT and Information Systems Associate is responsible for supporting the management of Saga’s fleet of devices and various information systems. Due to the geographic spread of Saga’s programs and staff, this management includes various operational/logistical tasks related to the physical movement of Saga’s devices, as well as providing remote hardware and software support (via email, phone, or video conferencing). The distribution of responsibilities between IT and information systems will vary based on time in the school year cycle. Information systems responsibilities may include supporting the collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of Saga’s Program data, as well as supporting the management and maintenance of organization-wide/cross-departmental information systems/platforms.

Responsibilities 

  • You will help to purchase, distribute, and collect Saga devices (laptops, tablets, mifi devices, etc.)
  • You will regularly update Saga’s device inventory to ensure accurate records of device users, locations, and conditions
  • You will help to purchase and manage software licenses (Office 365, Adobe Acrobat)
  • You will monitor and respond to support requests from end users through the IT Help Desk
  • You will assist in developing user documentation
  • You will monitor mifi usage through service provider portals and follow up with individuals, as needed
  • You will help to manage accounts/licenses for various platforms
  • You will make updates to Saga information systems (e.g., Google Spreadsheets, Salesforce, ALEKS, etc.), as needed

Competencies

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You are resourceful and able to tackle challenges independently while also knowing when to seek support
  • You are organized and able to successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
  • You are attentive to detail

Experience & Qualifications 

  • You have an Associate's degree, or higher, in any discipline (degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred but not required)
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • You are familiar with Windows 7, Windows 10, and Chrome OS operating systems
  • You have experience troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and system issues
  • You are familiar with Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat applications
  • You have IT support/help desk/customer service experience (preferred but not required)
  • You have reliable transportation (preferred but not required)
