Program Manager (Full-Time, Exempt)

 

Mission: The Philadelphia Children's Alliance (PCA) is an independent non-profit organization that promotes healing and justice for sexually abused children in Philadelphia. Using a multidisciplinary approach, we collaborate with our partners in child protection, law enforcement, and medical and mental health services to provide forensic interviews, victim support and counseling services at the Philadelphia Safety Collaborative, a co-located child-friendly facility. We are committed to using best practices and we promote this model locally and nationally.

 

Position Summary:

Temporarily due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this position involves partially working remotely; the actual schedule will be discussed during interviews.

Reporting to the PCA Program Director this position works collaboratively to support the PCA Leadership Team to monitor all grant programing and training coordination. This role spans many different fields of focus, including administration, finance, fundraising, Human Resources, data organization. As such, this generalist position will require the individual to be flexible, intuitive, and self-directed.

·        Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative setting

·        Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power point & Publisher) and Information Technology applications (e.g., WordPress, Salesforce, Zoom, Social Media).

  • Maturity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and possible weekends, flexible.

·        Commitment to the values and mission of the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance.

·        Dependability in following through on projects within set timeframes.

·        Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task

·        Being proactive and self-directed

·        Timeliness and punctuality


Responsibilities:

  • Track all grants, deadlines and reporting of outcomes and outputs
  • Generating data to support grant applications and reports
  • Coordinate trainings and scheduling for staff and participants
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Manager of the project.
  • Assistance with mailings as needed.

·        Work with PCA leadership team to create more efficient institutional processes that improve operational function

·        Organizing meetings for project team members

·        Assisting the Directors with tasks

·        Assisting the Executive Director with tasks

  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Manager of the project.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or related field  
  • Familiarity with the dynamics of sexual abuse and child abuse reporting requirements in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience working with coordinating special projects.
  • Experience with tracking tasks.
  • Experience with business and finance.

 

Special Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communications. 
  • Friendly and pleasant personality.
  • PC literacy including basic knowledge of Word for Windows, spreadsheet applications and database functions.
