About the position:

The Operations Manager is a part-time position reporting to the Executive Director. As a core member of the BIA team, the Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day logistics of the organization, creating and optimizing organizational systems that enhance the BIA’s work to promote health and wellness in Broadmoor and beyond. From supporting the financial administration of the organization, to overseeing the management of the Broadmoor Arts & Wellness Center, the ideal candidate for the Operations Manager role will have a passion for creating efficient and organized systems as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

Financial administration:

  • In partnership with the BIA’s bookkeeper, support the maintenance of the BIA’s Quickbooks accounting record, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports are available to board and staff upon request
  • With support from the BIA’s bookkeeper and Executive Director, create processes and systems for accounts payable and accounts receivable, reimbursable expenses, and staff expense reports
  • Ensure that all financial records are organized and accessible, manage the BIA’s off-site records storage

Arts & Wellness Center Building Management:

  • Manage all vendor relationships, including building repairs, cleaning services, and IT services
  • Supervise a team of part-time front Desk Ambassadors, providing support and opportunities for professional development and connection to the larger BIA team
  • Serve as liaison with building tenants to address needs and concerns 
  • As needed, provide staffing support at the front desk, answering phones and responding to messages as appropriate
  • Manage the rental program at the Arts & Wellness Center, expanding community programming available at the Center
  • Grow the membership program at the Arts & Wellness Center, increasing revenue from regularly occurring events and programs hosted at the Center
  • Oversee office supply inventory and ordering
  • Provide IT support and other troubleshooting related to the building maintenance as needed
  • Assist core team with staffing BIA-sponsored events and by contributing to event planning

Qualifications:

Experience: 

  • At least 2 years’ work experience in an administrative role, with demonstrated success in building efficient and effective organizational systems
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
  • Experience working with Quickbooks preferred
  • Comfort utilizing Google suite tools to collaborate with team members
  • BA/BS preferred 

Compensation: $15/hour for 20 hours/week. This is a non-exempt, part-time role with no associated benefits. The BIA offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for professional development.

Timeline: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with interviews scheduled starting March 22. Ideal start date for this position is April 12, 2021.
