Seeds of Peace hosts a summer program at our Camp in Otisfield, Maine as a part of the organization’s youth leadership development programming. In 2021, Seeds of Peace is planning to safely host two sessions of camp serving youth of different racial, political, and religious identities from the Northeast United States, following American Camp Association and state of Maine COVID-19 guidelines.
Seeds of Peace builds on the extra-ordinary and critical relationships and understandings reached in the Camp program through year-round local programs that focus on the core leadership capacities needed to advance peace. There are now over 7,000 Participants from 27 countries who prove that solutions exist, peace is possible, and there is reason to have hope for a better future.
Position summary:
Seeds of Peace seeks a Senior Camp Operations Coordinator to join our multinational programming team. In this role, you will manage all logistical and operational aspects for Seeds of Peace Camp. This role will begin as a part-time role (approximately 15 hours a week) in March, based within driving distance to the campgrounds in Otisfield, Maine to oversee facilities projects with the maintenance director and to liaise with local contractors. In the months when Camp is in session (June-August), you will be based full-time on Campgrounds in Otisfield, Maine. In 2021, this position will play a crucial role in ensuring that camp is safe, healthy, and inclusive.
Currently, this role is designated for March through August 2021, with the potential to extend and broaden the scope of the role upon mutual agreement.
Compensation: $22-24 per hour, March - May: part time at approximately 15 hours/week , June - August: full-time exempt .
