Project Happiness, is a rapidly-growing non-profit educational organization reaching a community of 2.5 million, and now stands poised to accelerate its progress over the coming five years. To continue to support this amazing work, Project Happiness is seeking a talented and passionate Manager of Programs who is ready to support and innovate with our dynamic non profit during this rapid growth period. The Manager of Programs will deeply understand the vital importance of creating systems to help programs run smoothly, and will be dedicated to using her/his powers to ensure the organization’s overall success in bringing happiness and well-being to more people than ever before – creating a better world for all.

Particularly: you feel very comfortable with technology and online tools; you’ve created, developed, and evaluated programs, you’ve been the point person for major partnerships, and you’re a natural leader used to guiding teams of 5+ people for different projects

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

  • Create deliverables for deepening programs across Project Happiness’ platforms, with quality systems are in place
  • Utilize strategic thinking to organize and implement streamlined approach to current company-wide practices, using current research and best practices
  • Develop and enforce information flows and decision-making structure to ensure that information is communicated in a timely and effective manner to appropriate team members
  • Enjoy working and managing a variety of people from different backgrounds, education, and even countries

Administrative Oversight

  • Support and work closely with the Founder and CEO in the development and management of the organization
  • Oversee daily operations, utilizing outstanding planning, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability in overseeing multiple functions and establishing performance goals for the organization and individual staff members
  • Management of specific accounts and partnerships, including large donors, governments, grantmakers, people with whom we share content, and accounts maintaining the health of our programs, technology, websites, etc.
  • Ability to implement accountability; mentor and empower individuals with the capability to leverage the strength of the team to put people in a position to succeed

Technology:

  • Management of the website, outside contractors
  • Up to date with current technology and programs, and consider yourself very tech-savvy. Programs you’ll be working with include (working knowledge of a few or most is fine): Google Docs, Mailchimp, Invision, Wordpress, Shopify, GitHub, AdWords, Box/Dropbox, Zoom. Salesforce is a plus.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management or Public Health preferred; Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience can be substituted
  • 5+ years experience in operations, program management, and relevant experience leading a team, ideally in a nonprofit, or government role
