RESOURCE NAVIGATOR PROFILE

Mission: Resource Navigators provide personalized, one-on-one support to employees of WorkLife's member employers. Navigators work alongside employees to find resources and solutions to life challenges at home and/or work and promote the employee’s long-term stability and wellness. Navigators assist with an array of challenges including: housing, childcare, transportation, finances and budgeting, mental health, and basic needs. Navigators offer support through a variety of platforms and “meet the employee where they’re at.” 


Navigators also engage with building relationships with supervisors, managers, and Human Resource personnel at our member employers to ensure employees make use of WorkLife services and the community agencies.

Competencies:


  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, staff and community leaders. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a fast-paced environment and shifting gears quickly to accommodate change
  • Demonstrated experience handling client’s requests and addressing potential obstacles by being proactive, resourceful and employing excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Duties:

Resource Navigation

Assess client needs, create goals, and connect clients to community resources that address short-and long-term needs including housing, transportation, child care, basic needs, education and mental health. 

Resource Cultivation

Seeking, locating, tending to and nurturing relationships with community resources within geographic regions that may be in a different area of the country from where you are located. Searching for statewide and national resources that serve the needs of clients.

Employer Engagement

Work collaboratively with all WLP teams to effectively conduct engagement activities with employers to drive client utilization of services. 

Financial Coaching

Provide basic financial coaching around budgeting, credit building, and spending behaviors. Incorporate stress resilience and emotional intelligence into financial work with clients.

Data Collecting and Reporting

Collect and accurately enter data on service deliveries through a Salesforce database platform. Be accountable to the quality of the data captured and understand how it is used in program delivery, management and evaluation.

General Workforce Advocacy

Build a deep understanding of employer culture, employee benefits, workplace and industry concerns, and community needs. Contribute to staff discussions around employer interactions and recommendations.

Technology Inclined

Be receptive to using WLP’s rapidly changing technology to reach annual organizational goals, improve efficiency, increase capacity, and improve processes

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in human behavior or human services field; experience providing direct services in roles such as case management, career or financial coaching, social work, or other helping professions. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the listed competencies 
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License; vehicle insurance; and reliable transportation 


Education:

Position Details:

  • $50,000- $60,000 annually, DOE
  • Full time (Monday-Friday) with flexibility outside of regular work hours  
  • Travel: This position may require travel both locally, statewide and nationally.
