Job Description:

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, high energy, and reliable Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director by managing her schedule and coordinating all ongoing projects. This individual will play a key role in setting up meetings, public engagements, and other projects to advance the Executive Director’s goals. The Executive Assistant will be a self-starter, perform general office management tasks, assist with business development, and provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the organization. The ideal candidate for this position will be committed to The Solar Foundation’s mission to further the growth of renewable energy and eager to launch a career in this field.


Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Executive Director: 50%

• Working with the Executive Director to identify priorities and meet goals on schedule

• Scheduling and supporting meetings, projects, and events

• Making travel arrangements


Managing the office: 30%

• Processing mail, managing files and databases, and providing human resources support

• Preparing invoices and processing checks

• Ordering and maintaining office supplies

• IT and tech support – working with IT contractors


Business development and other duties: 20%

• Seeking/securing opportunities for meetings and public engagements for the Executive Director and development team

• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and other Directors


Qualifications:

Candidates for this position will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience

• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to set goals and meet priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment

• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, maturity and tact

• Training in human resource management, bookkeeping, operations/logistics, contracts management, business development, or a demonstrated willingness to learn these skills

• A demonstrated passion for solar energy and the exciting work of The Solar Foundation
