Summary: 


To assist with coordination and completion of facility needs across all departments. Will work with Staff & Department heads & Director on making new staff comfortable, with chairs, trash cans, floor mats, and other physical office needs.


This Non-Exempt position will report to the Administrator in the Division of Finance & Facilities.


Primary Responsibilities: 


• Work on all floors of ACS facilities: A) Schedule, direct and oversee the work of contractor (electrical, pest control, carpet cleaners etc.); B) Lightbulb changes throughout ACS.


• Work with all ACS staff, department heads & director: A) Furniture repair; B) Furniture replacement; C) Some decorating.


• Work with Conventions & Meetings, Meeting Coordinator, to: A) Help ship crates for Clinical Congress and other meetings; B) Disbursement of crates; C) Stuffing reg. bags for disbursement, deliver all meeting materials to contractor, etc.


• Work specifically at The Murphy auditorium to change all lightbulbs, schedule electrical & carpet cleaning contractor, etc.


• Repair and paint walls in offices as needed.


• Provide backup for staff during out-of-office schedules, i.e., provide work assistance to Office Services such as replacing floor mats, replacing name plates, etc.


• Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements:


• High school diploma or equivalent is required.


• Previous maintenance and facility experience/training, as well as customer service experience and/or training, is desired.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to use a computer. 


• Excellent communication skills necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization. 


• Capable of providing excellent customer service.


• Attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Must be able to multi-task. 


• Display high level of energy and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.


• Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.


• Ability to establish strong working relationships with all division teams and management.


Physical/Work Environment: Fast paced with significant people interaction. No lifting over 20 pounds, minimal reaching bending and stooping. Performs work in a normal office environment with long hours in front of the computer. 


Other Necessary Requirements: Evening or weekend duties may be required. Minimal travel for activities such as out of town meetings is required.
