The Development and Communications Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director and other members of the Development team, performing tasks such as fundraising planning, events, and more.  The position must focus on our grass roots social justice work, with a passion for advocacy in the LGBTQ community.  We are looking to increase and sustain our capacity with vital services such as health advocacy, immigration law, and civic engagement.  We look to effectively communicate our message to both our base and the broader community, as well as increase non-program revenue through a combination of major gifts, annual appeals, monthly giving, events, and communications.

This area is comprehensive of all donors including major donors.

·      Donor Engagement.  Work with the Executive Director to support donor engagement activities, including coordinating meetings between Executive Director and major donors and preparing materials for donor meetings.

·      Events. In conjunction with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Coordinator will plan and oversee two events per year.  One will be a large gala event, and the other a smaller breakfast or lunch event.  The Coordinator will also help secure and coordinate Entre Hermanos involvement in Pride events, including responsibility for sponsorship cultivation and follow up.
