Job purpose

The Regional Director will be dynamic and persistent in their pursuit to drive the fundraising and strategic goals in the Region and organization. The passion for the organizational mission will drive their success and desire to always benefit those they serve by being the motivation when working with current and new donors. The Regional Director will be a member of PRG’s development team and will report to the Vice President of Development.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of prospects and donors (both private and corporate) within the region
  • Partner closely with the VP of Development and CEO to ensure all strategic fundraising goals are achieved quarterly and annually
  • Expand local revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and regional expansion
  • Write grants for the Dayton region on a monthly basis
  • Build upon PRG brand throughout the Dayton region by building new relationships and bringing new constituents into the pipeline
  • In conjunction with the programming team, meet with physicians, case workers, and other healthcare professionals who utilize PRG in the Dayton region to make sure the execution of PRG programming is understood and streamlined
  • Ensure ongoing program excellence, consistent quality fundraising and communications needed to achieve PRG’s strategic goals for the region
  • Actively engage and energize PRG clients, volunteers, event committees, partnering organizations and donors
  • Assist with the development of a regional strategic plan; lead the plan’s execution
  • Build partnerships in the region; establish relationships with businesses and community leaders
  • Communicate local program results and act as an advocate for further regional and national expansion
  • Collaborate with leadership, team members and external volunteers and constituents on different fundraising initiatives including Ignite The Fight Gala
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2 to 5 years of experience required, related field preferred
  • Experience working with community-based organizations is strongly preferred
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills
  • Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet both short-and long-term business goals
  • Proven in problem-solving skills
  • Skilled in developing relationships
  • Management skills
  • Ability to articulate well and be easily understood
  • Participation in volunteer management and engagement, support, and compliance training and cross training
  • Demonstrates the ability to work productively and discreetly under pressure with sensitive issues and confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer service-oriented telephone manner and excellent listening and reflecting skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks with deadlines
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a plus
  • Past experience in a training role is helpful
  • Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet for various events
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Working conditions

This position is required to work out of our Dayton-area office and attend signature Pink Ribbon Girls events.
