The base compensation is $34,000 annually, with an opportunity to increase the compensation based on the funding you are able to generate.

Description

Responsibilities

■     Maintain regular communication with CDF's national staff.

■    Recruit, hire, and manage Project Directors for Freedom School and

Program Manager for Ujima Afterschool Enrichment program.

■     Coordination of logistics for summer and/or after-school program operations.

■     Supervise Project Directors and Program Manager and serve as executive administrator of

programming.

■    Meet weekly with Project Directors and Program Manager hold meetings with all staff.

■    Engage local community advisory committee or other organized community body in support

of the PSFLF CDF Freedom School program.

■    First-year Executive Director must attend the February Training for Freedom School.

■     Financial oversight and budgeting of funds for PSFLF CDF Freedom School and Ujima

Afterschool Enrichment Program.

■     Assist with grant writing/fund raising for PSFLF programs. Manage the System for Award

Management (SAM.gov)

■     Other activities called for to advance the work of the position

Qualifications

■     At least 21 years of age and completion of a four-year college degree preferred.

■     Experience managing a literacy-intensive, high-energy summer/after-school prg. for children.

■     Administrative leadership skills and experience in managing a staff of 5-10 people.

■     Solid commitment to children's advocacy and enthusiasm for the PSFLF programs.

■     Ability to motivate others, attention to detail, strong communication skills, long-term planning,

and multitasking skills.

■     Interest in and ability to work as part of an intergenerational team.

■    Strong appreciation and understanding of diverse cultural histories and the willingness to be

open and respectful of other cultures.

■     Ability to engage in strategic planning, oversight, and effective fundraising.

■     Willingness to strive for excellence in all areas and ability to think critically and analytically.

■    Exhibit positive behavior and attitude; model a mature and professional demeanor; possess

excellent written and verbal communication skills.

■     Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to the ethics of good character, humility, and

servant leadership.

■     Dedication to the mission of the PSFLF programs.

■     Registered voter.

■     Authorization for background check for criminal and child protective services.

■     Effective management of human and material resources.

■     Collaboration and communication with CDF National.

■     Responsible administration of program resources, staff, and site.
