    Position Overview

    KID Museum is seeking a Marketing Manager to develop and implement an integrated and data-driven marketing approach focused on amplifying the organization’s brand voice and building visibility and support for our mission through digital communications. The Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Director of Communications and will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive brand voice across all digital media channels at KID Museum. The incumbent will work collaboratively across the organization in supporting departments to tell compelling stories across our digital channels; promote the Museum’s programs and success stories; and manage the organization’s website, social media presence, and email marketing efforts.

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or digital media plus 5-7 years experience working in digital marketing, campaigns, and communications for a nonprofit, social impact, or education organization or mission-driven startup company. Expertise in proven, relevant digital marketing strategies, tools, and approaches, with an eagerness to learn, grow, and improve. Demonstrated experience running digital ads and/or executing digital fundraising campaigns and end-of-year appeals. Deep knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, including existing and emerging social media platforms, websites, CRM tools, SEO and email marketing. Demonstrated skills writing compelling marketing copy. Photography, video editing, and basic design skills are a plus.

    Essential Job Functions

    Digital Strategy & Marketing: 60%

    • Lead content creation and strategy across all social media platforms, website, and email programs to ensure they’re working together to support KID’s goals.
    • Draft marketing copy and program descriptions, and create a schedule for regular contact with customers to drive awareness, interest, and sign ups for KID Museum programs.
    • Develop a clear, actionable, integrated digital marketing plan, mapped to organizational priorities and aligned to the brand strategy.
    • Oversee digital content development, dissemination, and evaluation of effectiveness.

    Digital Campaigns & Audience Growth: 20%

    • Ensure continuous testing, optimizing, and analyzing of growth and conversion rates and support the organization’s digital fundraising efforts.
    • Work toward growing social media audiences and engagement to support overall brand visibility and thought leadership goals.

    Vendor & Project Management: 15%

    • Manage and collaborate with outside vendors to ensure all digital tools and apps are optimized to meet the organization’s needs and that partners are delivering what was promised.
    • Support colleagues across the organization by knowledge-sharing and training to build capacity around digital engagement.

    Special Projects: 5%

    • Support KID Museum special events and complete other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong ability to write compelling marketing copy.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • High level of professionalism and integrity along with strong managerial, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong writer and content creator with skills in photography, video editing, and basic design.
    • Strong proofreading/editing skills.
    • Proven ability to manage large projects simultaneously and under tight timelines, while keeping an eye toward top-line priorities.
    • Commitment to advancing equity and social impact through education innovation.

    Hiring Salary - $65,000 to $75,000 annually (40 hours per week)
