Administrative Coordinator, Pro Bono Program

Under the supervision of the Pro Bono Manager, the Pro Bono Administrative Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of SDVLP’s pro bono programs, and its efforts to recruit, engage, and manage attorney and law student volunteers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Pro Bono Manager’s efforts in developing and maintaining pro bono relationships with law firms, lawyer associations, corporations, and law schools;
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries, screen and register volunteers, and coordinate with SDVLP staff attorneys to support placement of cases with pro bono attorneys;
  • Assist SDVLP staff attorneys in coordinating attorney volunteers at virtual and in-person legal clinics;
  • Assist in recruiting law students, including coordinating SDVLP’s participation in public interest fairs, panels, and other law student events;
  • Assist Pro Bono Manager and SDVLP staff attorneys in onboarding, orienting, and managing law student interns;
  • Assist in organizing virtual and in-person volunteer outreach, training, mentorship, and recognition events;
  • Maintain accurate database of pro bono program records, including volunteer eligibility and service hours, generate reports, and analyze data;
  • Produce program materials, including presentations, orientations, trainings, volunteer manuals, and outreach materials;
  • Assist in maintaining SDVLP’s social media presence, including generating content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree. Ability to multi-task, organize, coordinate, and prioritize a large volume of volunteer information. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe, Canva, and social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. Strong candidates will have experience with case management or similar database systems and in working with diverse, low-income populations.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required unless a legal exemption applies. This is a full-time position (37.5 hour/week).

Salary

$22.00-$24.00 per hour, DOE.
