    LDF’s Development Department is headquartered in New York City and oversees all fundraising efforts to support LDF’s ongoing programs and operations. This is a transformative time for LDF, and the Development Department has grown because of the widespread attention. The Development Department looks to build on this recent growth in the coming years.

    Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Manager of Gift Administration is charged with oversight of the Development Department’s gift processing, data entry, and donor stewardship responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee the gift processing team and their use of the fundraising database of record, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, as well as ancillary systems EveryAction, Omatic Software, and others. The individual will manage work assignments to ensure gift entry is completed in a timely manner. This person will import and export data, approve batches, and be able to use complex queries to extract accurate data to support LDF’s fundraising efforts. The individual will be responsible for data quality and data integrity, and they will collaborate closely with the Manager of Development Systems to ensure that clear policies and procedures are defined and followed. The position is responsible for cash handling, gift processing and accounting, as well as interfacing with the Finance Department for gift and pledge reconciliation and endowment establishment. The position operates in alignment with LDF’s mission, and the successful candidate possesses sound judgment with commitment to fundraising ethics and strong confidentiality principles.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee data entry, gift processing, donor stewardship, and additional aspects of LDF’s constituent relations CRM (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, RENXT and EveryAction).
    • Manage work assignments of the gift processing team to ensure gift entry is completed in a timely manner.
    • Leads and supervises staff directly, makes hiring decisions, provides coaching, training and mentoring, manages timesheets and performance and determines future staffing needs.
    • Review and commit batches entered by the gift processing team.
    • Oversee integrations or import/export processes with RENXT and other critical systems such as EveryAction and the accounting system using PostOmatic.
    • Work collaboratively and in partnership with the Finance Department on timely reconciliation of all gifts to LDF from all sources.
    • Serve as point of contact and resource on fundraising databases - RENXT, EveryAction, and Omatic Software applications. Maintains effective customer service policies and procedures.
    • Work with the Manager of Development Systems to provide ongoing training and support for staff, vendors, and temporary staff on RENXT functionality and LDF gift processing and record maintenance policies.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Development Operations and the Manager of Development Systems to ensures compliance with all gift processing policies and governing regulations regarding gift acceptance, the processing and receipting of charitable gifts, and ensures that gift procedures and policies are up to date and meet industry best practices.
    • Maintain an awareness of data protection guidelines and internal data management procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the management of gift processing, medical reporting, auditing, financial analysis, bookkeeping, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
    • Must have strong analysis & critical thinking skills.
    • Must have demonstrated collaborative approach, with a creative, flexible, and solutions-oriented perspective who is comfortable with working in a highly dynamic environment.
    • Experience at delivering high performance from gift processing team and ability to maintain highest degree of accuracy.
    • Possess problem solving and prioritization skills.
    • Excellent administrative skills and supervisory experience.
    • Advanced communication (oral and written) skills, and the ability to interact courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other computer skills.
    • Possess financial management, design, and project management skills.
