    Annual Fund & Communications Manager

    Location: Camden, NJ

    Cathedral Kitchen (CK) is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and mission-focused Annual Fund & Communications Manager to support donor engagement, storytelling, social media, and fundraising operations. This role is ideal for a strong writer who excels at donor communications, content creation, and managing annual fund activities.

    Position Overview

    Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Annual Fund & Communications Manager leads CK’s annual donor engagement activities, manages social media, and elevates CK’s impact through compelling storytelling. This role also supports donor stewardship, press outreach, and fundraising operations through effective communication, segmentation, and database management. (50% Annual Fund and 50% Communications/Writing)

    Key Responsibilities

      • Manage communication and strategy for Annual Fund.
      • Track solicitation performance and support donor segmentation strategies for the annual fund.
      • Draft and produce donor acknowledgements, stewardship materials, and impact updates.
      • Gather and craft client stories for print, digital, and video platforms through interviews, research, and collaboration with program staff.
      • Manage social media presence for Cathedral Kitchen and for CK Catering from the Heart across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics.
      • Maintain website content.
      • Conduct prospect research to expand CK’s base of donors and supporters.
      • Draft and distribute press releases; support media engagement and coverage.
      • Enter and maintain accurate data in Raiser’s Edge, ensuring strong data integrity.
      • Provide support for the preparation of foundation grant applications, reports, and related materials.
      • Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent, mission-centered messaging.
      • Represent Cathedral Kitchen at external events.

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
      • 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, communications, digital media, nonprofit development, or related fields.
      • Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and clear donor communications.
      • Experience managing social media for an organization, including analytics and content strategy.
      • Familiarity with donor databases; Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred.
      • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
      • Experience with press outreach, donor segmentation, or annual fund programs a plus.
      • Commitment to CK’s mission and compassion for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
