We are seeking an energetic and dedicated professional with experience in philanthropy who works best in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys being on the road and out with donors. The Donor Relations Manager works as part of the philanthropy team to identify and qualify major gift prospects. He/she will coordinate and implement effective multi-year strategies and plans for gift prospects, including corporate, foundation, and individual donors. Our ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to conservation and the ability to build and leverage strong community relationships in Vermont.
Desired Skills & Experience (education and years of experience, key competencies)
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 2 years of related experience. Must have experience in: building and maintaining long-term relationships with key fundraising constituents; generating reports and interpreting the data; business writing, editing and proofreading; working with cross-functional teams; and the principles, practices, and procedures of charitable giving. Our ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to conservation and the ability to build and leverage strong community relationships in Vermont.
