We are running several core projects (Supply Chain Mgmt-SCM, Finance Mgmt System-FMS, Customer Relationship Mgmt-CRM) through a strategic initiative called the Application Revolution Transformation (ART). Through this initiative, Americares aspires to be a high performing organization, and to do this, the basics must be right. We aim to improve, harmonize, and share, wherever beneficial, processes, information, and systems across all Americares locations. To that end, we are seeking a System Administrator to provide ERP application support.


The ERP System Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, configuration, and support of the financial application as part of the ERPx implementation project. This job requires a system administrator who can partner effectively with all project team members, business subject matter experts, drive results, proactively identify, and resolve problems.


-Participate in the configuration of the ERP system as it relates to business processes, security, integrations, and workflows.

-Ensure ERP system is configured to meet business and integration requirements as part of in collaboration with vendor and project team.

-Ensure environments (Dev, Test, Training) are managed correctly and ready for project team access per schedule and are administered efficiently throughout the project phases.

-Understand financial business application in depth; provide recommendations and implications of changes to the system for informed decision making and risk mitigation.

-Analyze and research system configurations and enhancements to resolve issues; modify, maintain, update, and provide quality assurance according to software specifications, IT protocols, and established business rules.

-Assist in system upgrades, installations, and testing of the system in collaboration with vendors and implementation partners.

-Prepare variety of written materials (detailed remediation steps, notices, reminders, technical standards, security policies, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.

-Participate in Change control process to ensure system and data integrity; compliance with IT policies and procedures; support internal/external audits.

-Collaborate with Project Management to develop high level estimates, progress reports, risks and/or impacts related to system integrity.

-Build and maintain positive working relationships with project team members, internal Business stakeholders, and vendors.

-Training other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.

-Participate in QA deliverables; partnering with project team and/or end user stakeholders to execute testing, ensuring results meet system and business requirements.

-Perform other duties that may be requested by Americares.

-BA or BS in computer science or related field.

-3+ years of experience with administering an enterprise ERP system in a SaaS environment. (Experience with Unit4’s ERP software a plus)

-Be ‘Business’ literate, with strong financial understanding and appreciation of the activities of the Finance function and commercially aware.

-Experience with SQL and creating custom reporting utilizing various industry tools

-Must possess excellent problem solving, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to communicate between business and technical teams. Strong consultative and advisory skills.

-Ability to analyze, isolate and define issues; must examine options and act on a plan.

-Thorough understanding of software life cycles, and security strategies.

-Excellent ability to work independently as well as in a team.

-Experience gathering requirements and producing technical specifications and documents.

-Excellent written and verbal communications.

-Ability to manage multiple competing priorities through effective time management, organization, and communication.

-Flexibility to work after hours if needed.

-NGO experience a plus.

-Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

-Passion for our mission and the desire to work within the global health/emergency response sector.
