The American Society of Hematology (ASH), a Washington, DC-based association of physicians and scientists committed to promoting blood disease research and education, seeks an Administrative Coordinator, Meetings to provide principal support to the Chief Event Strategy Officer (CESO) and assist Meetings department staff in administrative phases of project management, budget management, scheduling, and logistics publishing activities for the Society’s meetings.

The responsibilities of the Administrative Coordinator, Meetings include maintaining the CESO’s calendar, taking and distributing minutes of meetings and conference calls, preparing invoices and check requests for approval and signature, maintaining financial documentation, assisting with responses to financial inquiries and reconciling expenses, and assisting with budget development and management. Additionally, this role will coordinate preparation and compilation of meeting materials for internal and external meetings and conference calls. 

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of administrative experience in a business setting. Candidates with previous executive level support, preferably in an association environment, are highly preferred. Attention to detail; excellent customer service; excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills; strong ability to multi-task; and proficiency using the Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are required.
